Hi again from The Cookie Rookie! We are diving into all things Fall now that the weather is cooling off (finally!), and to us that means COMFORT FOOD! And when I think of comfort food, one of the first meals that pops into my mind are PORK CHOPS! My Mom and Dad always make the best pork chops for big family dinners, and the taste always reminds me of home. These Creamy Parmesan Pork Chops are tasty enough to make them proud, but also easy enough for any weeknight meal. The flavors are simple and delicious, make it one of our go-to Autumn favorites.

Everything comes together in around 30 minutes and you only need one pan. Isn’t that great? Only 1 main dish to clean and only half an hour of your time can land you with this amazingly delicious meal. You’ll quickly realize why it’s a favorite!

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and allow to melt, stirring to coat the pan.
  • Sprinkle each pork chop with salt and pepper to taste on both sides.
  • Add pork to skillet and cook each side for 4-5 minutes or until both sides are golden brown. Turn off heat and cover with a tight lid. Let the chops sit for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked through. Set aside on a foil tented plate to keep warm.
  • Scrape the pan to release all that yumminess, no need to clean the pan.
  • Heat pan to medium high heat. Toss garlic in the pan and allow to caramelize for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add in the flour and cream and stir quickly to combine. Bring to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the grated parmesan and fresh parsley, stirring until fully combined and heated through.
  • Return pork to the sauce and serve.
  • Enjoy!

Wonderful recipe! This sauce is delicious. I always cook my pork chops in the air fryer the same time I’m making the sauce (personal preference; I find it super easy to cook them this way and no there’s no change to any ingredients). I served this with mashed potatoes and corn. Very good!!

    1. Hi Sara!
I would have to say for best results that fresh grated is the best option but the canned option will also work! Please let me know how it turned out! Thanks for following along with me!

These are soooo flippin good! I would feed these to company. They are so delicious and you would think they would be difficult to make but nope! They also look elegant. The only thing is how to get the pork chop to be more tender on the stove?

    1. Try not to over cook the pork. Just slow cooking it is best and once it hits the correct temperature then take them off to leave in the juiciness and flavor.

  3. I don’t cook meat very often but this sounds like something my parents would love is there a substitute for the heavy cream (neither parent can have heavy cream)?

    1. For this chicken and sauce the cream makes that sauce rich, thick and creamy. It adds the right amount of flavor for the chicken. You could try cream cheese but I think the texture and text will be altered enough that it would not be the same.

    1. OH NO!! I am so sorry! I am not sure why it turned into an oil mess unless it was boiled a little too long. I am sorry to hear this! I hope the pork chops tasted okay! XOXO
