This ooey-gooey skillet cookie brings homemade cookies to the next level! It is warm, sweet and the chocolate just melts right in your mouth! You definitely won't be able to stop at just one bite!
Preheat the oven to 350°. Have a 10 inch cast iron skillet ready for the cookie dough when it’s done.
In a large bowl combine the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar and beat with a hand mixer or a stand mixer until fluffy. Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.
In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand until evenly distributed in the dough.
Press the cookie dough evenly into the cast iron skillet and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cookie is just barely golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5-10 minutes.
Top the warm cookie with ice cream and enjoy eating it right out of the pan! Be careful because the pan will still be very hot.
