Ingredients
2cupschicken broth
1cuplong grain rice,uncooked
1tablespoonbutter
1/4teaspoongarlic powder
1lemonzested(I like it lemony! Add less or more to your liking)
2tablespoonslemon juice(about one lemon)
fresh basilto garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a medium pot with a lid, combine the chicken broth, rice, butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cover the pot and allow the rice to simmer slowly for 20 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
