Pear Butter
Sweetened with honey and warm spice, this homemade pear butter is a fall staple you'll want to put on everything! It's great for canning and storing to enjoy with all of your favorite baked goods year-round.

Ingredients

lbs.
ripe pears
peeled, cored and diced

tablespoon
lemon juice
1/4
cup
honey

tablespoon
brown sugar

teaspoon
vanilla extract

teaspoon
cinnamon
1/2
teaspoon
ginger
1/8
teaspoon
nutmeg
1/8
teaspoon
cloves
1/4
teaspoon
cardamom
1/4
teaspoon
salt
Instructions
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to combine.
Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 50 minutes. Stir occasionally to make sure the bottom doesn’t burn.
After the mixture has cooked down and the pears are very soft remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes before blending.
After a few minutes of cooling, transfer to a food processor or blender. Blend until completely smooth.
Store in a mason jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. Enjoy on toast, pancakes, pound cake, ice cream, or drizzled-on fruit.
