Make your homemade banana bread even more tender and delicious by adding in sour cream! This recipe is the best you’ll try, and you won’t be able to stop at one piece!
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and spray two 9x5 bread pans with pan spray.
In a large bowl, beat ⅓ cup vegetable oil and 1 cup granulated sugar together with a hand mixer until combined. Add in 2 eggs and beat until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Beat in 1 ½ cups mashed bananas, 1 cup sour cream, and 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract. Add in 2 ½ cup flour, 2 teaspoons baking soda, and ½ teaspoon salt. Mix on low until just combined. Stir in 1 cup chopped walnuts by hand, if desired.
Separate the batter evenly into the two prepared pans and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the loaves cool for 30 minutes before slicing.
