This Berry Galette is the dessert of the summer! Fresh summer berries fill an easy to must crust. Serve it warm with a big scoop of ice cream for one of the best desserts you will ever make!
In a food processor, pulse 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour and 10 tablespoons butter until incorporated. Add in the ¼ cup cold water and continue to pulse until it forms a dough.
Remove the dough from the food processor and roll it into a ball. Flatten the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes.
Filling
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the 1 cup strawberries, 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup blackberries, ½ cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Mix until the berries are all coated in the sugar and cornstarch.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the dough into a ¼-inch thick round and place it on a baking sheet.
Place the filling into the center of the dough and fold up the edges of the dough to seal in the filling.
In a small bowl, mix the 1 egg and 1 tablespoon water. Brush the egg wash on the edges of the dough and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let set for 10-15 minutes before serving.
