This Homemade Cornbread is made from scratch and is the best of the best. It has the perfect texture and is packed with flavor. I know you won't be able to stop at just one piece!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an 8x8-inch pan and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 3/4 cup sugar. Add in 2 large eggs and 1 cup buttermilk and stir until combined.
Whisk together 1 cup cornmeal, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt in another large mixing bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the bowl and stir until combined. The batter will be lumpy.
Pour the mixture into your prepared 8x8-inch pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Insert a toothpick, and when it comes out clean, it's ready.
