Combine 2 ¼ cups graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons sugar, and ½ cup unsalted butter Press in the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan or pie dish and press it up along the sides. Chill the crust until firm.
To make the filling, melt ½ cup unsalted butter in a medium-sized saucepan. Stir in ½ cup dark brown sugar and melt over medium-low heat. Add 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk and bring it to a boil for a few minutes stirring continuously. The toffee should start to darken.
Pour the filling over the crust. Cool and chill again for at least an hour or until firm.
