In a large skillet add 1 tablespoon olive oil and turn to medium-high heat. Season 2 pounds salmon with salt and pepper. Place the salmon in the pan, skin side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip to the other side and continue to cook for 4-5 minutes until the top has a golden brown crust and the salmon flakes easily. Remove and set aside on a plate.
Add ½ cup butter to the pan. Whisk until the butter starts to foam and turn brown. Add juice of half lemon, 1 tablespoon thyme, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, and 1 teaspoon rosemary. Return the salmon to the pan and serve.
