Oil the grill grates well, then preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cut 4 large ripe peaches in half and remove the pits.
Brush the cut side of the peaches with 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter.
Place the peaches on the grill cut-side down and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until char marks form.
In a small bowl, stir together 3 tablespoons brown sugar, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt, and ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg.
Flip the peaches over and sprinkle the surface with the brown sugar mixture. Close the grill lid or cover the grill pan with a lid. Cook until the sugar turns into a glaze, about 2 minutes.
Remove the peaches from the grill and serve with vanilla ice cream!
