Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Lay 2 pounds salmon on top of the foil.
Add 1 pound asparagus along the sides of the salmon and season with salt and pepper.
In a small microwave-safe bowl add 4 tablespoons unsalted butter. Melt the butter then stir in 2 teaspoons minced garlic, 1 juiced lime, and 1 zested lime .
Pour the butter mixture on top of the salmon and asparagus. Top with 1 sliced lime, if using. Bring up the sides of the foil to wrap and seal the salmon.
Bake for 15-20 minutes. Open the foil. then broil for 2-3 minutes to give the top of the salmon a crisp brown edge. Top with chopped parsley for garnish and serve.
