Add 1 (12-ounce) can Dr Pepper, 1 cup ketchup, ½ cup packed brown sugar, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, ¼ cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon ground black pepper in a medium saucepan and whisk to combine.
Heat over medium-high until simmering. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Taste and add additional salt and pepper as needed before serving.
