powdered sugar

unsalted butter,
softened

teaspoon
rum extract

teaspoon
vanilla

cup
eggnog

cup
powdered sugar,
for rolling
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment beat together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the rum extract, vanilla, and eggnog, and mix to combine. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and mix until a thick dough forms.
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 1-2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
Bake the meltaways for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned on the bottom. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes, then roll in powdered sugar.
