Ingredients
4cupspeeled and diced large applesabout 10 apples, I used Granny Smith
Add 4 cups peeled and diced large apples, ¾ cup water, ¼ cup granulated sugar, 1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, if desired, to a large pot.
Bring it to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
Once the apples are tender, mash them to your desired consistency.
