These Bacon Wrapped Chestnuts are crunchy sweet chestnuts, that are enveloped in a savory bacon and marinated in a sweet spicy sauce for the perfect flavor combination.
Cut the strips of 1 pound bacon in half. Wrap around 2 (8-ounce) cans whole water chestnuts and stick a toothpick in the center to hold them in place. Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Mix ¼ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup sweet chili sauce, and ½ cup mayonnaise together. Pour the sauce over the bacon-wrapped chestnuts.
Marinate in the fridge for 2 hours.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. Broil the top for about 5 minutes at the end to crisp the bacon a little.
