Preheat the broiler to high. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with foil and place 2 pounds boneless skinless salmon on in.
Whisk ¾ cup lightly packed brown sugar, ⅓ cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons peeled and grated fresh ginger, 1 tablespoon lime juice, ½ teaspoon minced garlic, and red pepper flakes in a medium saucepan.
Bring the glaze to a boil over medium heat, then whisk until it thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat and reserve a small portion to the side for finishing.
Brush the salmon generously with the non-reserved glaze and broil for 4 minutes. Remove the salmon from the oven and gently flip the fish over. Brush it again with the glaze and return it to the oven to broil for 4 more minutes.
Carefully remove the salmon from the oven and use a clean brush to brush the reserved glaze over the salmon and serve immediately.
