Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Add 1 tablespoon unsalted butter to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Saute ⅓ cup shallot for 2-3 minutes before adding 2 cups fresh broccoli. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add 1 cup ham to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes. Remove from the heat.
In a small bowl, whisk together 7 large eggs, ⅓ cup heavy cream, 1 cup milk, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon ground pepper, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
Add the broccoli and ham mixture to the prepared Grandma’s pie crust. Top with 1 ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese. Pour the egg mixture over the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top is browned and the eggs are set. Let the quiche cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
