Easy Teriyaki Meatballs come together fast and make such an amazing meal with the delicious teriyaki sauce. They have a sweet and savory flavor from the teriyaki sauce coating a moist and tender meatball. I am confident this will become a family favorite at your house like it has in mine!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
To a large bowl add the 2 pounds lean ground beef, ⅔ cup panko bread crumbs, 2 tablespoon dry minced onion, 1 large egg, ¼ cup milk, 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger, 2 teaspoons salt, and ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper. Mix well to combine.
Scoop the meat mixture out into 1 ½ tablespoon pieces and roll into balls, place them in the prepared baking dish. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
Teriyaki Sauce
In a medium saucepan, add the 1 ½ cup cold water, ¾ cup packed light brown sugar, ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 3 tablespoons cornstarch, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil.
Whisk the sauce ingredients together and cook over medium heat, whisking occasionally until it thickens and no lumps remain.
When meatballs are done baking, coat them in the teriyaki sauce and serve over cooked rice.
