Add the 1½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness and the ¼ cup oil to a large resealable bag. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together 1 cup barbecue sauce, pineapple juice from can , 2 teaspoons soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon minced garlic. Pour half of the mixture in the bag. Seal the bag and chill for 30 minutes or up to overnight. Reserve the remaining sauce.
Grease and preheat an outdoor grill to medium high heat. Remove the chicken from the bag and discard the marinade. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side or until cooked to 165 degrees and no longer pink.
Grill the 1 (15-ounce) can pineapple slices on the grill with the chicken 2-3 minutes or until heated through and slightly beginning to char.
When chicken is finished cooking, brush with reserved sauce, top with chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish and serve with grilled pineapple slices.
