Grilled Honey Mustard chicken is tender and juicy grilled chicken covered in a sweet and tangy sauce with a punch of spice. It is simple to prepare and so flavorful. The fresh and perfectly balanced flavors of the honey mustard will be a staple in your summer BBQ plans!
In a small bowl, whisk the ½ cup whole grain mustard, ½ cup honey, juice of ½ a lemon, 1 minced garlic clove, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, and ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes.
Reserve 4 tablespoons of the honey mustard mixture and pour the remaining over the 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, toss to coat, and cover with plastic wrap and let it sit for about 30-45 minutes at room temperature.
Preheat the grill on medium-high heat, grill chicken for about 6 to 7 minutes per side or until chicken is done, discard the marinade.
Pour the reserved honey-mustard sauce over the chicken and let it rest under foil for about 5 minutes. Serve.
