In a medium sized skillet over medium high heat add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 pound large shrimp. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp 2-3 minutes until they are cooked throughout and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside on a plate.
In a large pot bring water to a boil and add 16 ounces fettuccini noodles and cook 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain.
To make the Alfredo sauce
Add ½ cup unsalted butter, 2 cups heavy whipping cream, and 4 ounces cream cheese. Cook over medium heat and whisk until melted. Add ½ teaspoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Continue to whisk until smooth. Add 1 cup grated parmesan cheese and let simmer until it starts to thicken.
Add shrimp and pasta back to the sauce and toss to coat.
