Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. In a stand mixer using the dough hook, add the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow the yeast to proof for 5 minutes.
Add the flour and salt then mix until the dough forms into a ball. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Roll the dough out into a large square about ½ inch thick. Cut the dough into 1-inch squares. A pizza cutter worked great!
Place the squares onto a greased baking sheet. Allow to rise for another 10 minutes.
Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
Combine the parmesan cheese and garlic salt in a small bowl.
While the bites bake, make the alfredo sauce. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and parmesan. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes to thicken.
As soon as they come out of the oven, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with the parmesan and garlic salt mixture.
