These slow roasted almonds, cashews, and pecans areย coated in aย sugar glaze spiced withย cinnamon making an addicting snack for any occasion! They also make amazing neighbor gifts!
The holidays are such a busy time of the year. I have been baking up a storm this last week in my kitchen and giving away treats to the neighbors like crazy! It is always hard thinking of a great neighbor treat that doesn’t take up a lot of time. One of my favorite thing this time of the year are cinnamon sugar candied nuts. They make such an amazing treat and neighbor gift!
Do you know what my two most used ingredients are this time of year? Cinnamon and vanilla. I buy McCormick’s cinnamon and vanilla in bulk! And then I am so paranoid about running out of it that I usually buy it every time I go to the store. Needless to say, if there is a cinnamon or vanilla shortage just come over to my house! I always choose to use McCormick spices because they are high quality and add the best flavor to my baking.
Buying the cinnamon almonds at the mall can be so expensive. It is so easy to make them right at home and it all comes together in a matter of minutes. The cinnamon adds the perfect spice to these nuts. They roast to perfect candied perfection in the oven and create the perfect gift to give you your neighbors!
You start with an egg white and vanilla coating on the mixed nuts. This allows the cinnamon and brown sugar to help coat and stick to the nuts while roasting. Then, you toss them to coatย with the delicious cinnamon sugar.
You spread them out on a baking sheet and before you know it they are ready to pop right into the oven!
Here is the best part of making these nuts. The cinnamon aroma just fills your house. It smells like Christmas while they are roasting. Cinnamon is one of my favorite scents this time of year. And you will love the way theyย make your house smell while roasting to candied perfection.
As soon as they come out they look perfect coated in the cinnamon sugar. They are crunchy and sweet and have the perfect amount of cinnamon spice. They are suchย addicting snack!
In fact just looking at the pictures makes me want to go and grab a handful to snack on! Hang on I will be right back.ย ?
You are going to love this simple to make treat for the holidays! They are perfect for this time of the year and your neighbors are going to love you for them. And a special thank you to McCormick for bringing us this quality and delicious spice that we couldn’t live without for the holidays!

Alyssa, can I double up and cook or is it better to do as written 1 cup each. Thanks.
John, yes, you can double it, but you may need 2 sheet pans to make sure the nuts can be spread out enough!
