Cake mix and pudding comes together in these easy to make cookies! They have incredible flavor and texture and taste like a banana cream pie!
Banana cream pie is one of my favorite kind of pie. So when thinking of a delicious treat to make with Pillsbury’s Traditional Yellow Cake Mix, I decided to make some cookies. I love how a cake mix can be so versatile and really makes you think outside of the box. I love the softness and flavor that pudding adds to cookies so I couldn’t wait to try the two together!
These cookies came together within 5 minutes. Using a cake mix cuts the preparation time down and makes it easy to have a treat in no time at all. I added the banana cream pudding mix to the cookies to bring out the banana flavor in the cookies. I decided to add some white chocolate chips to the cookies and the result was absolutely fantastic!
I fell in love with the first bite. The flavor was the exact same as a banana cream pie. The outside edges were slightly crisp while the inside was soft and chewy. The pudding adds a delicious texture to the cookies making them extra soft.
These cookies were so easy and amazing and one of the best that I have made. I know that your family is going to love them just as much as we did!

Hi, I think I may have accidentally added too much flour too this and it came out a little bready. The dough tastes amazing though. Is there anything I could add to the dough to make it more cookie like instead of bread
I made these with peanut butter chips and turned out amazing. So tasty.
I just made them and they ae so yummy!
We just had a cookie exchange at work and these were the heavy favorite. She had everyone asking for the recipe! So amazing.
Getting ready to make a sugar free version. I’m so excited!!
I used whit cake mix and I put Carmel chips and it turned out great. Thanks
Can you use white cake mix and still have the banana flaver.
Yes, of course! You may alter any recipe to your liking. It may not have the same flavor but it will still taste good. Let me know how it turns out! XOXO
These cookies were a HUGE hit at thanksgiving. Everybody wanted the recipe from me ๐
Next time I’m making a modification.
I’m using caramel instant pudding, spice cake mix, and caramel chips.
Can’t wait to taste the results :p
Also, I cook them as little as possible while still not having any dough. For a couple batches, that meant letting them cool, taste testing, and putting back into the oven for an extra minute or so, letting them cool again, taste testing… etc. until they were fully cooked the BARE MINIMUM after cooling. (cookies tend to continue cooking after you take them out, and my preference is for as chewy as possible)
*cinnamon chips*
not caramel chips. Oops ๐
Aren’t they AMAZING? One of my all time favorites!
These turned out really yummy for me. I added 1 cup broken Nilla wafers to the mix as well for a little unexpected crunch. My oven cooked them in about 14 minutes.
Do you use instant pudding?
Yes I did. ๐
Yummy! The color looks so lovely!
