Why You Need To Make This, Like Yesterday!

  • Impossible to Resist: This queso blanco dip is cheesy, melty, and loaded with flavor. I โ€œtaste testโ€ half the bowl before it even hits the table!
  • Crowd-Favorite Unlocked: Iโ€™ve served a lot of dips, and this one always wins. Even the spinach artichoke loyalists jump ship for this queso.
  • SO Easy to Make: You can whip this dish up in 10 minutes. Itโ€™s basically the lazy girlโ€™s MVP for last-minute parties, potlucks, or โ€œjust becauseโ€ snacks.

Mexican White Cheese Dip Ingredients

Overhead shot of labeled ingredients.
  • Pick the Right Cheese: White American melts like a dream for that creamy queso texture. Canโ€™t find it? Check the deli counter or use Velveetaโ€™s queso blanco.
  • Adjust Consistency: Add more milk to thin it out, or simmer to thicken. Itโ€™ll thicken as it sits.
  • Control the Spice: Want to add some spice? Add cayenne or fresh serrano pepper. If you prefer mild, take out the jalapeรฑo seeds or just don’t use jalapeรฑos at all.

Can I Make Queso Blanco Dip In A Crock Pot?

Use the Crockpot: This is a great dip to make in your crockpot! Just add all of your ingredients to the pot and let it cook on low for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally to help all of the flavors come together.

Storing & Reheating Leftover Queso Blanco

White queso dip makes great leftovers. Just be careful not to heat it too quickly, or it might separate. Hereโ€™s how to store and reheat your leftovers:

  • In the Refrigerator: You can store your leftover queso blanco in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • To Reheat: Warm the queso gently on the stove over low heat or in the microwave using short bursts. Stir frequently to keep it smooth and prevent separation.

Sooo Yummy!!! Thank you! My 1st attempt at making Queso and Successful Outcome! Iโ€™ve eaten this for 2 additional days with meatballs for dinner and topping on my burgerโ€”so delicious! Itโ€™s so easy and quick to make. I loved it with my Cafeโ€™ style cantina chips (a new on the border brand). Exceptionally Delicious ?

  2. Any tips on getting the cheese to melt down to a creamy consistency?

Iโ€™ve tried to make this recipe a couple of times and there is a fat layer on top and it wonโ€™t thicken.
So I need to use different cheese?

    Thanks!
