I am so excited to be an ambassador this year for The Salmon Council. If you have been following the blog, then it is no secret that I love salmon. I love working with companies that I am truly passionate about. Salmon is such an important part of maintaining a healthy diet. February is American Heart Month and it is so important to add Omega 3 fatty acids to your diet. Salmon is perfect for adding in your Omega 3 fatty acids and it is also enriched with protein and Vitamin D. Did you know that adding in salmon to your diet can help to reduce cholesterol and lowers your risk of a heart attack by one third?

Yeah, salmon is awesome. I declare this recipe the BEST salmon glaze ever. I made it three days in a row it is so good! Even if you aren’t a huge salmon fan, start with this recipe. The glaze is so good you won’t be able to get enough.

salmoninpanSweet Chili, soy sauce, orange marmalade, and garlic all come together to create one amazing glaze. These beautiful pieces of salmon soak up the marinade and get broiled in the oven. The marinade caramelizes on top while they are being broiled, creating an amazing crisp flavorful crust on the top.

As soon as they come out of the oven, you drizzle those babies with more of the glaze on top. Trust me, you won’t be able to get enough!

Just thinking about this salmon makes me want to make them again. Sigh.

Did I mention that this is the BEST salmon ever? I have got lost in talking about the deliciousness of this salmon. 🙂  Perfectly flaky and the caramelized crust on top is perfection! A five star salmon that comes together with minimal ingredients and only takes about 5 minutes to cook. So easy to make my seven year old could probably do it! Speaking of my seven year old that hates all food…. he loved this salmon. Just sayin’.

This salmon flaked perfectly with the fork. The flavor is amazing and it is such a good feeling to know that you are eating something that is so good for you and delicious!

As you already may know, I made a goal to eat better this year and salmon has been a huge part of reaching those goals. Sometimes it is hard on a busy day to make a healthy meal. That is why I love to meal prep and I especially love these new product finds from Rubbermaid. The Lunchblox Salad Kit is my favorite! It is perfect for packing my salad, snacks and salmon inside. It comes in handy when I am on the go and even has a snap in blue ice to keep everything chilled! I have also LOVED my shaker bottle and it is perfect for my protein shakes before I head to the gym.

All of these things combined have helped me to eat delicious meals and keep up with my heathy goals. If you are a salmon lover like me, then you are especially going to love staying connected with Hooked on Salmon through Facebook and Pinterest. I always love getting new ideas and ways to cook my salmon. 🙂

Well without further ado, here is the recipe. Make it. You are going to love it just as much as we did!

A five star salmon recipe with a delicious sweet chili garlic glaze on top. The glaze caramelizes the salmon as it broils and will become an instant favorite that you will make again and again!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings: 4 Servings

Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a shallow baking dish, combine sweet chili sauce, orange marmalade, and soy sauce. Whisk to combine and add minced garlic and green onions. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade. Sprinkle the salmon with salt and pepper and place facing down with the skin side up in the dish and allow to marinate for at least one hour.
  • Preheat the broiler and make sure the oven rack is 5-6 inches down and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with cooking spray. Take the salmon out of the pan and shake off excess marinade. You don't want the marinade to pool up on the foil. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on top of the aluminum foil and broil for 6-10 minutes until browned and opaque in the center.
  • Pour the reserved sauce on top of the salmon before serving and garnish with green onions.

made this today for a late lunch. It was so easy and so good. I read where another person did not have orange marmalade and neither did I, but had apricot, I also had skinless salmon. It turned out great. Will be picking up some more salmon from the store and making again soon. Might even go on a bi-weekly rotation.
    Thank you for posting!

It was so moist and tender with just right amount of sweetness and spice from chilli sauce. The green onions are another thing I like and I was wondering if I can add ginger next time to add a twists in the taste.

    YUM!
Not really a salmon lover, but I am now.
I wanted to add as a menu option as it is recommended for my husband’s diet. He loved it too!
So easy to fix & he gave the ultimate “restaurant quality” comment. ❤️❤️❤️

The only glaze I use now. I’ve used Heinz Chili Sauce and really like the flavor. When I double the recipe, I don’t double the soy sauce. Perfect for my taste.

This is super simply and delicious. Will be adding this to our menu frequently. This sauce would be good for about any baked fish.

    1. Set it on high and watch it carefully. It will only be a few minutes. If you prefer low then it will take a little longer. Still carefully watching it.

      1. Yes, this has a little kick to it. I like to use a local sweet chili sauce but really anything that you prefer.

I love salmon and very often try new recipes. Today I had this wonderful salmon for lunch.
Since I couldn’t figure out some of the instructions (I found somewhere in the Internet the German version because I am German) but it was much easier for me to follow the instructions in English.
THANKS for sharing this wonderful recipe.

  7. I’ve made this twice and it’s delicious. I didn’t have orange marmalade so I substituted plum jam. It’s definitely my go to salmon dish and it’s great for company.

  8. What are the nutrition amounts for this? I am eating Keto. Anything else I could use if the orange marmalade and sweet chili sauce are high in sugars?

    Thanks!
