chickenbaconpasta
This.was.to.die.for. It turned out so fantastic and the entire family loved it. Let’s rewind to yesterday. I am getting so big and pregnant and it is getting harder to do regular day to day activities. I cooked up three recipes and by the end of it my feet were so swollen and my back was out. But me and the hubby got to enjoy this delicious recipe together for lunch. He kept raving to me how delicious it was.

Now lets fast forward to today. We just had it for the second time. Two days in a row. It is just that good! I wanted to make it for my boys and some friends that came to visit us. This was loved even by my picky little eater. The sauce was so creamy and the right consistency over the noodles. Not to thick and not to thin. The taste was out of this world. And the bacon inside made it beyond amazing. I served it with some chicken and asparagus and this is a recipe that we will be making again and again!

  1. I’ve has this pinned for a few weeks and finally made it tonight. I substituted the sage for thyme and added more cream. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. This was sooooooo good! The sauce was amazing. 100 times better than store bought Alfredo. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hands down, a winner! My picky teenager had seconds, and she’s at the “ewww” stage for pretty much everything these days.

  3. Delicious! My husband said it was better than the pasta from a local Food Network’s stars’ restaurant, this is a definite keeper.

  4. Holy cow was this good! I made the BlackBerry salad with it (although I used blueberries!) Fantastic!!

  5. Oh, my goodness! Possibly the best pasta I have ever had! I think I would add a bit more heavy cream next time, but that’s it. I was less of a fan of the chicken, but it was tasty. I think next time I will use Costco Rustic Tuscan seasoning and marinate the chicken in some of that with olive oil and saute.

  6. Just made this and it was delicious; a little less salt next time, but the chicken rub is a definite repeat; I like the idea of lemon juice, Ali; next time…

  7. I never write reviews on recipes because I believe that people’s tastes are so different that my opinion shouldn’t sway someone else from trying or not trying a new recipe. BUT…. after the feedback I received from the Hubs on this recipe (which I followed exactly) I couldn’t resist. This recipe is a MUST try for anyone who is looking to change up their chicken and pasta or chicken alfredo recipe! It was so delicious! The Hubs even used the word “AMAZING” like he couldn’t believe I managed to put together something so flavorful! The bacon is the key to the flavor of the sauce and I will definitely use the chicken rub for whenever we grill chicken breasts! Thank you for this tasty, weeknight meal idea that will now become a regular on our meal plan!

  8. This dish was so good! A little for rich for me and also a little salty, BUT, I will make this again. Might change it up a tad also. THANK YOU! My husband also loved it!

    1. For sure! You can just cook them on the stove. Still rub them in the spice rub and cook them until no longer pink.

  9. I made this yesterday and it was delicious! Though I think next time I’d make extra sauce – it was insanely good so my family wanted some extra creamyness on it 🙂

I also threw some broccoli in (which, again, was insanely good in the sauce!!)

  10. This turned out delicious 🙂 I was only bummed because I never got a chance to take a picture for my blog, but I will be making this again so I’ll have more chances 😉

Loved the ginger in the chicken spice rub, it added a delicious flavor. I added a splash of lemon juice to the sauce, I thought it needed just a touch of acidity and brightness. The chicken breasts I used were very thick so I sauteed in a pan for 6 min on each side then transferred to the oven, covered, for about 10-15 min to finish cooking. Turned out moist and so delicious. Wonderful dinner, from start to finish it was on the table in about 45 minutes. So glad I pinned this!

  11. This sounds fabulous! I love chicken pastas. I crave them constantly lately. This baby I’m carrying is going to come out loving pasta.
