Garlic Parmesan Cheese Bombs

Hey guys! It’s me. Tiffany – from Creme de la Crumb, here to share a fantastic recipe for the carb n’ cheese lovers. Raise your hand if your favorite part of dining out is the free bread! Yeahhhhhh, I knew we were friends for a good reason.

Garlic Parmesan Cheese Bombs

This recipe is SO easy!! Just a couple of ingredients and the whole thing takes about 15 minutes. These are seriously bomb-licious (pun intended…) and we devoured them in about 3.2 seconds flat.I like them straight from the oven but my husband dipped his in ranch dressing. I think next time we’ll try alfredo sauce or marinara!

Garlic Parmesan Cheese Bombs

Serves: 4
Ingredients
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (like the ones by Pillsbury - I used their Texas-style biscuits)
  • 3 mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into 4 pieces each (so you have 12 total)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 and grease a baking sheet. Separate each biscuit. Place one piece of cheese in the center of each biscuit, pinch the sides around the cheese so it is completely encased by the biscuit dough. Place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes until golden.
  2. Melt butter. Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. When biscuits are done baking, brush butter mixture over each biscuit. Serve warm.

Makes 12 cheese bombs.

      • These parmesan cheese bombs are so good. I tweaked your recipe and added chopped bacon with the cheese then folded the seam. So awesome. Thank you for sharing.

    • Use frozen dinner rolls instead of canned biscuits, also put topping on before baking and bake about 10 minutes or more. Nice and cheesy and taste better than canned biscuits.

  7. Not sure what seam side down means and how many biscuits are in a can…I only get 10 in regular cans and less in the big biscuits….So what do you think. Want them to come out. TY

    • It is the canned biscuits. Pillsbury is a popular brand that makes them. πŸ™‚

      Acme, Food Loin, Safeway, any grocery store carries canned biscuts,, they are in the cold food area normally around the cookie dough and pie crust. There is also a brand called Grands Biscuts. They also make the make the best chicken dumplings ever.. just flour your counter and roll them out and cut them into for 3 square’s per biscuts and drop into boiling chicken broth and cover pan for 20 mins ( add carrots, celery, onions, before the dumplings… after the 20 mins add diced cooked chicken, and peas and you have a wonderful home cooked meal in 30 mins or less and CHEAP…..

        Sorry for typo’s no glasses on ,,, I am not going to worry about typo’s but do want to say that the biscuts should cut into 4 sections and not 3 ,, I like to roll them thin as they swell when cooking, these dumplings come out like Cracker Barrels πŸ™‚ enjoy,, You can also boil a frying chicken with onion, carrots, and celery and then remove chicken to cool and add the rolled the biscut dumplings cook for the 20 mins, remove meat from chicken and add back after dumplings are done along with peas if you like them.

  12. I don’t get it , do I fold the biscuit in half ? What do you mean sides? I wish there was a photo as these instructions are very unclear to me.

      What i get from seam side down and folding the dough is… take ur biscuit and place the piece of cheese in the center then wrap the dough up and around the cheese to make ball shape…kinda like wrapping a gift basket with that fancy plastic wrap … then pinch it together and lay the now ball shapped dough with the pinched side down..the tops should look smooth on the baking pan… does this help?

  13. I’ve notice that this pillsbury’s biscuit looks like scone. Can i use scones for this recipe or any other substitute. I couldnt find any pillsbury biscuit here.

  15. Just made some but quarter my grands biscuits n cut my cheese sticks in 6 pieces my little boy loves them with just butter drizzled on them used ur butter recipe for us n they are a hit thanx

  16. How do you get 12 from your can of biscuits? Mine only has 8 in it. Should I divide them on half?

  17. I’m confused, how do you get 12 when 1 can of biscuits only has 10 biscuits unless you get the Grand and those only have 5??

  19. I have the same question…..do you fold the biscuits in half or what? Please answer soon because I already have put off making these till tomorrow. I have gotten the big buttermilk Pillsbury biscuits…….it only has 8 not 10. They were the only”big AKA Texas size” large ones available. Will those do? Please answer ASAP

    • If im not mistaken I believe that you bull the biscuits apart first. (Pull the top off of the bottom. Place the cheese and pinch the biscuits closed. Once you’ve done that place the part that you pinched face down on the pan. I hope that helps.

      You have the biscuit and she says wrap it around the cheese ,, after you warp it you will have a smooth side that looks like a ball and a side that is not smooth where you pinched it (((((((( THIS is the SEAM side you place it DOWN )))))))… if you are using the big grand biscuits I would cut them in half or you will have huge cheese stuffed biscuits ,, if just the little cans that normally have 4 packs of biscuits attached together then one biscuit is good .

  22. You can use any baking powder biscuit recipe. to make these rolls; seam side is the part you pinched together so fold in half, pinch, and put pinched seam down on baking sheet.

  28. I’m pretty sure these are illegal; if not, they should be. I would add pickled jalapenos and eat them all myself.

  29. Tiffany I generally read through the comments before i try a new recipe, but the more i read the more Amazed i was of how people couldn’t understand your simple and I mean simple instructions! I made these tonight to go with my simple main course elbow noodles,hamburger,and stew tomatoes! They are the little cheese bombs!! I will be looking forward to more of your creations and THANK YOU!!!!

  30. Mase these very easily from your instructions. They are totally the BOMB! Have suggested to all my friends who have little kids. As it would be so easy for them to wrap the biscuit around the cheese. Plan on making with my 3 year old grandson soon. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe!

  32. Translation for people not in the US:

    1 batch of laminated dough or dinner rolls (savory quick-bread) cut into 12 equal pieces
    100g/ 3oz +/- mozzarella also cut into 12 equal pieces
    ~ 60g butter

    You could probably also use frozen puff pastry if you have it where you are… and the temps are easy to swap out–400c would be insane.

    We split the layers of the biscuits in three (we used Grands Biscuits) and put two quarters of the stick cheese in each cause we love cheese so much. The butter mixture topped them off perfectly. So easy and so good. Highly recommend.

    I have made these and now I’m gonna try making Mozzarella sticks biscuits with Mozzarella cheese sticks figure half of each. Figure 8 biscuits and 4 mozzarella sticks cut in half deep fry them hope it works

  43. i have found multiple recipes to makes these. I have now tried it 3 times and everytime the cheese has never melted. any suggestions on the issue, and dont say cook them longer, if i did then they would be burnt haha. Ive tried mozz string cheese, mozz shredded cheese, and even tried a recipe that called for cubed cheddar cheese and still not melted. could maybe letting the cheese sit out for a min and get soft help?

    • When I make Mozzerella sticks at home, I have to let the cheese sit out and come to room temperature first! I imagine it would be the same thing.

    I made these last night they looked so good coming out of the oven but I was really disappointed bc the cheese didn’t melt on the inside. Has anyone else had this problem? I used grand biscuits

  45. Made this for dinner tonight was a big hit. Followed instructions exactly except cooked on stove for 4 hours. Made with mozzarella parmesan garlic bombs.
