An amazingly creamy baked chicken with asiago cheese inside. It comes together quickly and will be loved by the entire family!
I always consider a meal a HUGE success if my picky little eight year old eats the entire thing. It is so hard to get him to eat anything that I make. So when he eats something that I make for the blog and licks his plate clean, I consider it a five star meal.
This chicken is so easy to make. You can whip it up in about 5 minutes and throw it into the oven. It bakes the chicken to perfection in a delicious and creamy sauce with asiago cheese.
Asiago cheese has been a favorite since I first discovered it in High School on an Einstein bagel. It is such a delicious cheese and added such amazing flavor to this dish. Honestly the creamy sauce that this bakes in is incredible!
If you are looking for a delicious meal that is picky eater approved look no further. This is a great quick and easy one to make this week and I know that your family is going to love it just as much as we did!

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup light mayonaise or greek yogurt I used ½ of each and it was delicious!
- ½ cup asiago cheese and reserve more for top
- 1½ tsp seasoning salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Lay the chicken inside the pan.
- Mix together all ingredients. Spread the mixture evenly over each piece so that the chicken won't dry out while baking.
- Sprinkle the top with fresh asiago on the top of the chicken.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Enjoy!

Hi,
I think I see skin on the chicken in the photo. Is it a regular skin on bone in breast? It doesn’t make that clear in the recipe. I think another person asked that question, but I don’t find the answer. I’m guessing skin on, since the temp and baking time are higher than other recipes I have seen with boneless skinless, baked at lower temps for shorter times.
Thank you.
Made this tonight and made it exactly as written.. it was good, I would definitely make again. And for those questioning the sauce at the bottom of the pain.. I think it’s just the chicken juices.. mine looked exactly like the picture. Thank you for a different chicken recipe to feed my family.
Nice post
Appreciate you sharing, great blog post. Thanks Again. Really Cool.
I have read and re-read the instructions as well as everything on the page above them and I can’t figure out what the ‘sauce’ in the bottom of the pan is from. Does that little bit of mayo and cheese really make that much sauce???
Hi just like Kathy and Nina I’m confused you haven’t responded to their question so I’m going to ask it again is it stuffed cuz you did write Asiago Cheese Inside and do you use both Parmesean and Asiago Cheese? Or was that a mistake you writing those things? Just curious would love to make the original recipie thanx
I like your recipe.. Please keep sharing such nice recipes with all us.
Thanks

Love this recipe! Super delicious, with any cheese!
Easily a 5 star recipe. Flavorful, melt in your mouth, easy prep and lick the plate tasty. (I grated my own cheese, did all mayo and added bacon). Thanks again Recipe Critic!
This looks and sounds fantastic, like everything you make! I will be trying this out for a dinner this week. Thanks for sharing!
Do you think half sour cream/half mayo would work?
I am not 100% sure BUT I think it would work! Let me know if you try it that way?
I tried it! It was fabulous!
Yes! Very tasty!
I made this last night for dinner and it was delicious! The recipe is so simple. My wife commented that it was the juiciest chicken she’d ever had. I definitely bookmarked this recipe for future reference.
Did you use Parmesan and Asiago? The ingredient list doesn’t call for Parmesan but in the directions it instructs to sprinkle the Parm on top.
The directions say:
Sprinkle the top with fresh asiago on the top of the chicken
When you said the asiago cheese is inside, I thought you meant it was a stuffed chicken breast. Did you use boneless chicken breasts? Thanks.
Did you use skinless boneless chicken breasts?
I tried this last night and it was really tasty. A big thumbs up
