It is hard to believe that this dish has any skinny to it because it is so delicious! But it is amazing the little things you can do to make your meal more healthy. I made this tonight for my family and they all devoured it saying this is definitely 5 stars! I also love anything that can be made in my slow cooker. I had so much to do today and came home to such a great meal!

  1. Do I follow the instructions on the can for the condensed soup or is it just the can minus adding the milk.

  2. I AM A BRAND NEW WIFE (OF JUST TWO WEEKS) AND I HAVE BEEN SNOPPING AROUND ON YOUR BLOG…AND I’VE GOT TO SAY MY MOUTH HAS BEEN WATERING. I CAN’T WAIT TO GET HOME AND START COOKING. I LOVE YOU RECIPES! KEEP POSTING!!!

  3. Made this as a panini filling and it was delicious. Just wish I knew the calories I was eating but it was so good I don’t think knowing would stop me!

  4. I made this last night and it was a huge hit!! I paired it with a Caesar salad and garlic bread. This is definitely a keeper! My seven and almost four year old enjoyed it too, so that makes it a 5 star in my book too!

  5. How many does this serve? I cook for a youth group in my home every week and I am always looking for new ideas to feed 20-30 high school kids. And I love being able to use my slow cooker. So if you have any ideas, please send them my way. Thanks 🙂

  6. I am counting calories for a diet and doing for well. But if someone post a low calorie or “skinny” recipe and doesn’t post the calories how am going to know if I want to use it, I would like to cook a variety of meals. And since it is only my husband and I, he has to eat what I eat even though he isn’t on a diet. Please post the calories for people like me who are taking our diet seriously, but want a variety of flavor.

    1. If you follow this recipe using the exact amounts and fat free sour cream as well as 98%fat free cream of chicken soup and turkey bacon this recipe contains 504 calories for each of 4 servings.

      1. Hi Alyssa,

I was wondering if you can tell me how many people this will serve please?

I don’t eat that much but I have two large men in my home, my Husband and my son, who work extremely long hours and can eat a lot! lol

Just want to make sure there will be enough.

        Thank you

  7. This has become one of our family favorites! We add artichokes and fresh spinach to wilt (at about the last hour), and it’s delicious! Even my husband who doesn’t like sour cream and claims he can taste it in anything, loves this meal! 🙂

  8. Also adding this one to my slow cooker list! I think you should add a slow cooker list to your recipe index – you’ve got a lot of good recipes on your blog for it, and tis the season!

  9. I just pinned this for use in the VERY near future. I’m constantly on the lookout for skinny recipes-trying to lose that baby weight!

  10. this looks so good! I use my slow cooker all the time and am always looking for new things to try. This will be on our menu plan for sure

  11. Thanks for stopping by my blog. My mouth is watering just looking at your pictures on the first page. I love your rating system. That’s such a good idea. I am definitely going to follow along and try out some of your recipes.
