My hubby sent me a message with a picture of this chicken and said make this! And it only had the listed ingredients. Of course he would send me something to try that was wrapped in bacon. This was delicious. And you can’t go wrong with chicken stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Everything is better wrapped in bacon right? 🙂  The family loved it but I did feel like the cream cheese needed a little more to it. I think the next time that I make this I am going to add an italian seasoning packet or something… what do you think that I should add? It just needed something else and I can’t quite think of it. I am going to have to do some experimenting the next time that I make this!

Review:  This was amazing but I am going to try to add something else to the cream cheese mixture the next time I make it.

Stuffed Cream Cheese Chicken

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 6 Servings

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Partially cook your strips of bacon, about 5 minutes on each side and set aside.
  • Wash the chicken breasts. I cut my chicken in half making them more like tenders. Flatten the chicken by pounding them out to be about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Mix cream cheese and green onion together and spread 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture onto each of the flattened chicken breasts.
  • Roll up the chicken pieces and wrap them with the strip of bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
  • Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Broil the top the last 5 minutes to crisp the bacon.

  1. I think using some of the ingredients for Jalapeno Popper Dip would be great in this. Which are 1/2 c. shredded parmesan cheese, 1 c. colby jack, 2 8-oz cream cheese, 1 c. mayo, 1- 40z. can chopped jalapenos and 1-4oz canned chopped green chiles. I think this is worth a try since everyone loves this dip and it is baked. With the addition of your recipe and this one I think it would be to die for. I think I will give this a try tonight.

  2. I would put spinach, garlic, & maybe some roasted red peppers- all mixed into the cream cheese prior to stuffing… Mmmmm!!!

    1. Sissy, that sounds like the perfect combination for the cheese mixture. All my favorites, that’s for sure!

  3. I have made something similar with banana pepper slices in with the cream cheese…so good!

  4. I saw something like this with jelapenos mixed in so it was like jelapenos popper chicken! Also i would suggest stuffing with cream cheese crab dip…that I’ve done wrapped in bacon and its deadly good!

  5. I would add green chiles. I have done something with Sun dried tomatoes and rosemary. I love these basic recipes that you can customize to your family’s taste.

  6. Totally in LOVE with these, Alyssa! My mouth is watering already. Making them next week for sure!!

  7. I am going to add dill to the cream cheese and see how that goes…or maybe a sliver of jalapeno?

  8. You can add some Parmesan, black pepper and nutmeg to the cream cheese, it also works with the stuffed jalapeños. I’m trying this recipe tonight.Thank you!
