My hubby sent me a message with a picture of this chicken and said make this! And it only had the listed ingredients. Of course he would send me something to try that was wrapped in bacon. This was delicious. And you can’t go wrong with chicken stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Everything is better wrapped in bacon right? 🙂  The family loved it but I did feel like the cream cheese needed a little more to it. I think the next time that I make this I am going to add an italian seasoning packet or something… what do you think that I should add? It just needed something else and I can’t quite think of it. I am going to have to do some experimenting the next time that I make this!

Stuffec cream cheese chicken on a white plate.

Review:  This was amazing but I am going to try to add something else to the cream cheese mixture the next time I make it.

Stuffed Cream Cheese Chicken

By: Alyssa Rivers
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 6 Servings

  • Partially cook your strips of bacon, about 5 minutes on each side and set aside.
  • Wash the chicken breasts. I cut my chicken in half making them more like tenders. Flatten the chicken by pounding them out to be about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Mix cream cheese and green onion together and spread 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture onto each of the flattened chicken breasts.
  • Roll up the chicken pieces and wrap them with the strip of bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
  • Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Broil the top the last 5 minutes to crisp the bacon.

  1. I’ve made this or a variation on this recipe many times. Always delicious! Try garlic, fresh herbs and lemon zest in the cream cheese. Yumm!

  2. Alyssa, I made this for dinner tonight and it was fab! A definite keeper. 🙂

  3. I added 2 oz of blue cheese to the cream cheese and chives. Loved it! Thank you for the recipe. It is a keeper.

  4. I make this but I put finely minced jalapenos in the cream cheese and use black pepper bacon to wrap it. I also make it with tenderized deer steak.

  5. When you finish the recipe with –

Broil the top for 5 minutes….(Im a little inexperienced in the kitchen…) Do you mean, put in bottom of stove? Do I have to adjust my stove to a BROIL setting? Thanks for your post!
    Cant wait to try it.

  6. m going to try this, but I’ll add Greek seasoning and some diced/minced mushrooms. If I had the money for real crabmeat or lobster I’d do that.

  7. I have made something very similar to this. I add grated cheese to the cream cheese, and either stuff the mixture in 1/2 of a Jalepeno, or dice up the peppers and incorporate them into the cream cheese mixture. During the last 5 -10 minutes of baking, I also add a sweet barbecue sauce such as sweet baby ray;s on top. My family loves it!
