Very easy and really a good meal!
My wife and sister in law loved it.

I used the Earth Best mini meatballs and they were a hit! Also traditional German egg noodles as my mom always served them with Swedish Meatballs when I was growing up.

I think next time I may try a little less heavy cream and adding some sour cream.
I also added a teaspoon of Better then Bullion beef and it gave it some more flavor.

If I could give this recipe 10 stars as the rating, I would!
My older son (highly functional autistic), who is extremely particular about food, loved the dish. He even packed it for work lunch for the next day. This was the first time he agreed to pack dinner for the next day’s work lunch. And my husband, who’s working on getting his swallowing function back after extended radiation therapy to his throat, had more than the usual amount of food.
I was ecstatic that the dish was so well received by my family. It is a super winner!

    1. Hi Linda, thank you for your comment. This casserole makes 6 servings so 1/6th of the casserole is a serving. I hope this helps!

I made this last night, and it was a hit. I 1.5X the recipe and used half n half instead of the heavy cream. It still was delicious and so easy to make. One thing that really helped make it super yummy, I used the Pennsylvania Dutch Hearty Style Noodles (thicker than traditional noodles). I was a little afraid it would be a little too soupy, but the thick noodles really absorbed the tasty sauce. Thank you, Alyssa!

  6. I recently made this casserole at the assisted living facility where I work. Our elderly residents loved it!! Thank you for this recipe! It’s hard to find something that 12 people can all agree on.

  7. This looks so yummy; however, one family member can’t have milk. Is there something I could use in place of the cream/milk?

    1. Hi Susan, thank you for your question. You could probably use any milk replacement but it won’t be as creamy. Unsweetened coconut cream would also work but it might lend a coconut flavor, but it would be creamier! Let me know what you use and how it turns out!

    2. Country Crock makes a “plant cream.” It’s a dairy-free heavy cream that can be used in recipes to replace heavy cream. Highly recommend.

Are you kidding, did you read the instructions, ( 26 ounces frozen meatballs, precooked ) so why not use Italian , you must be joking about your question. Guess some people just don’t understand cooking with imagination
