My hubby sent me a message with a picture of this chicken and said make this! And it only had the listed ingredients. Of course he would send me something to try that was wrapped in bacon. This was delicious. And you can’t go wrong with chicken stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Everything is better wrapped in bacon right? 🙂  The family loved it but I did feel like the cream cheese needed a little more to it. I think the next time that I make this I am going to add an italian seasoning packet or something… what do you think that I should add? It just needed something else and I can’t quite think of it. I am going to have to do some experimenting the next time that I make this!

  1. Add tarragon salt and green onion to the cream cheese. And marinate the chicken in lemon juice before you wrap it up. Drizzle the drippings over the chicken and serve with Uncle Bens wild rice. This is a recipe I’ve been making for years

  2. I’ve made this for years. Just saw this post and thought I’d add my 2 cents.
Season the cream cheese with salt green onion and tarragon. Marinate the chicken in lemon juice for 20 min then wrap it all up like you do. Pour the leftover lemon juice on top of the bacon wrapped chicken then bake and serve over Uncle Ben’s wild rice use the drippings from the baked chicken to drizzle over the rice. So yummy. One of my families favorite!!

  3. Made this tonight. I added some ranch dressing powder and Lawry’s seasoned salt to the cream cheese with the onions. I broiled them on low until the chicken was almost cooked through, then on high until bacon crisped. I then transferred them to an iron skillet on the stove to crisp bacon on bottom. Next time, I will probably bake them at high heat in the skillet to brown the bottom first, then broil to crisp the top. Very tasty! Thanks for the recipe.

  4. I have a recipe like this. In the cream cheese I would add a couple of chopped jalapeno peppers and some grated Colby jack cheese along with the chives. The recipe I have you put the bacon chopped up into the cream cheese and then lightly bread the breast after you roll it up, but wrapping in it in bacon sounds delicious!

  5. I have made this several times and I use the Chive and Onion flavored cream cheese! It taste great and works like a charm!
