My hubby sent me a message with a picture of this chicken and said make this! And it only had the listed ingredients. Of course he would send me something to try that was wrapped in bacon. This was delicious. And you can’t go wrong with chicken stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Everything is better wrapped in bacon right? 🙂  The family loved it but I did feel like the cream cheese needed a little more to it. I think the next time that I make this I am going to add an italian seasoning packet or something… what do you think that I should add? It just needed something else and I can’t quite think of it. I am going to have to do some experimenting the next time that I make this!

Review: Â This was amazing but I am going to try to add something else to the cream cheese mixture the next time I make it.
Stuffed Cream Cheese Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions chopped
- 4 slices bacon partially cooked
Instructions
- Partially cook your strips of bacon, about 5 minutes on each side and set aside.
- Wash the chicken breasts. I cut my chicken in half making them more like tenders. Flatten the chicken by pounding them out to be about ¼ inch thick.
- Mix cream cheese and green onion together and spread 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture onto each of the flattened chicken breasts.
- Roll up the chicken pieces and wrap them with the strip of bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
- Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Broil the top the last 5 minutes to crisp the bacon.

Maybe mix fresh spinach and a little bit of garlic with the cream cheese.
Add tarragon salt and green onion to the cream cheese. And marinate the chicken in lemon juice before you wrap it up. Drizzle the drippings over the chicken and serve with Uncle Bens wild rice. This is a recipe I’ve been making for years
I’ve made this for years. Just saw this post and thought I’d add my 2 cents.
Season the cream cheese with salt green onion and tarragon. Marinate the chicken in lemon juice for 20 min then wrap it all up like you do. Pour the leftover lemon juice on top of the bacon wrapped chicken then bake and serve over Uncle Ben’s wild rice use the drippings from the baked chicken to drizzle over the rice. So yummy. One of my families favorite!!
Made this tonight. I added some ranch dressing powder and Lawry’s seasoned salt to the cream cheese with the onions. I broiled them on low until the chicken was almost cooked through, then on high until bacon crisped. I then transferred them to an iron skillet on the stove to crisp bacon on bottom. Next time, I will probably bake them at high heat in the skillet to brown the bottom first, then broil to crisp the top. Very tasty! Thanks for the recipe.
Do you happen to have the nutritional info like number of carbs, calories etc?
I’ve had these with the cream cheese mixed with a packet of ranch dip mix. Very tasty.
I have a recipe like this. In the cream cheese I would add a couple of chopped jalapeno peppers and some grated Colby jack cheese along with the chives. The recipe I have you put the bacon chopped up into the cream cheese and then lightly bread the breast after you roll it up, but wrapping in it in bacon sounds delicious!
I have made this several times and I use the Chive and Onion flavored cream cheese! It taste great and works like a charm!
That looks delicious . I think I will add some chopped garlic and marinated artichock hearts to the cream cheese. I know what’s for dinner tonight!
It’s awesome with a pesto.
Either basil or sun dried tomato
I thin it would be fantastic with cream cheese and chives. It comes all prepared!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think philly cream cheese and chives woulc make it very tasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In which direction do you roll the chicken?
I’ve made this or a variation on this recipe many times. Always delicious! Try garlic, fresh herbs and lemon zest in the cream cheese. Yumm!
Alyssa, I made this for dinner tonight and it was fab! A definite keeper. 🙂
I added 2 oz of blue cheese to the cream cheese and chives. Loved it! Thank you for the recipe. It is a keeper.
I make this but I put finely minced jalapenos in the cream cheese and use black pepper bacon to wrap it. I also make it with tenderized deer steak.
I’m going to try with the herb & garlic cream cheese 🙂
I’d go with herb and garlic cream cheese also, Krystal! 🙂
When you finish the recipe with –
Broil the top for 5 minutes….(Im a little inexperienced in the kitchen…) Do you mean, put in bottom of stove? Do I have to adjust my stove to a BROIL setting? Thanks for your post!
Cant wait to try it.
m going to try this, but I’ll add Greek seasoning and some diced/minced mushrooms. If I had the money for real crabmeat or lobster I’d do that.
I have made something very similar to this. I add grated cheese to the cream cheese, and either stuff the mixture in 1/2 of a Jalepeno, or dice up the peppers and incorporate them into the cream cheese mixture. During the last 5 -10 minutes of baking, I also add a sweet barbecue sauce such as sweet baby ray;s on top. My family loves it!
