Easy & Delicious!!! The only thing Iโ€™ll change next time is the quantity, Iโ€™ll definitely be making a bigger batch. The whole family wanted more. ๐Ÿ™‚

Your New Go-To Side Dish!

  • Ready in 15 Minutes:ย Busy night? These come together fast with simple, affordable ingredients that even kids will love!ย
  • Meal Prep Approved:ย Prep ahead on Sunday, and when you’re in a rush, just reheat these beauties for an easy side to go with any meal. Seriously, they hold up and taste just as good the next day.
  • THE FLAVOR IS TO DIE FOR:ย A good mix of sweet and savory, and when you cook them in the air fryer, they haveย justย the right crispy edge.

Ingredients in Air Fryer Carrots

A top down shot of all of the ingredients labeled and in individual bowls.
  • Carrots:ย Peeled and sliced carrots have a lot more flavorย butย you can use baby carrots if you are in a hurry! Just make sure that you pat carrots dry before air frying, this will help the coating stick and keep them crispy.
  • Switch up the Seasoning: There are so many different ways to season these air fryer carrots. Instead of Italian seasoning, you can try dill, chili powder, turmeric, onion powder, or ranch mix.

How to Make Garlic Carrots

These are going to cook fast which is perfect if you are like me and always forgetting to add a side dish until the last minute!

  1. Peel and Slice: Wash, peel, and cutย 6 large carrotsย into 2-inches slices.
  2. Make the Dressing:ย In a medium-sized bowl add the olive oil, parmesan Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt and pepper.
  3. Coat the Carrots:ย Toss the dressing with the carrots making sure they get nicely coated and place them in a single layer into the basket of anย air fryer.
  4. Cook:ย Cook at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes or until they are tender and crispy. Garnish withย fresh chopped parsleyย and serve.

Alyssa’s Quick Cooking Tips

  • Even Cuts = Even Cooking: Cut your carrots evenly and avoid overcrowding the basket. This helps the hot air circulate properly and gives you that golden, roasted finish.
  • Keep an Eye on Cook Time: Air fryers can vary, so start checking your carrots around 7 minutes, then every couple of minutes until theyโ€™re cooked to your liking. Smaller carrots or baby carrots will cook faster.

Storing Leftover Air Fryer Carrots

I like to cook these up fresh each time but if you have leftovers, that’s no problem!

  • In the Refrigerator:ย These carrots keep well in anย airtight containerย in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • How to Reheat Cooked Carrots:ย For best texture, reheat in the air fryer at 360ยฐF for 1โ€“2 minutes. You can also microwave them for a quicker optionโ€”just be aware that theyโ€™ll be softer.

What to Serve with Cooked Carrots

Carrots are super nutritious, and the air fryer makes them extra tasty. With their sweet and savory flavor, they pair well with just about anything. Here are a few ideas to try!

I liked these, my husband did not care for them. He’ll usually eat his food even if it’s not something he cares for, these he threw away, a very rare thing for him to do. Which is sad for me, since it’s just the two of us, I won’t be making again.

When you said they were like French fries, I was like, โ€œ yea, rightโ€
These are better than fries! My husband and I couldnโ€™t wait for them to cool off. We ate all of them! Thanks so much for helping us eat more veg in the new year?

These were so delicious, definitely making again. I almost had all the ingredients on hand except the carrots. It doesnโ€™t really specify, but I used fresh parmesan cheese that I had from another recipe. Next time I would use less olive oil. Like a 1/4 less because there was a lot left over except that just allowed my brother to use the rest to coat his air fryer French fries. I might try making these in the oven next time on a baking sheet. Also I missed the step where the dressing was poured over the carrots and then tossed not the other way around so I mixed the carrots into the dressing. I think your way would work better, so Iโ€™ll do that next time. This went excellent with pre-cooked blackened chicken alfredo that I only had to heat on the stove. I took bites of both together and somehow made both taste even better.

Love this recipe! I had a little of the parmesan/garlic mixture left after coating my carrots, so I thinly sliced a small eggplant I’d brought in from my garden this morning, tossed it in the remaining mixture, and air-fried it. The resulting ‘chips’ were amazing! I grind my own parmesan so to save time, I’ve tripled the recipe and will store the dry mixture in the fridge to use it on chicken and other vegetables. Thank you!

We split baby carrots lengthwise. Our air fryer took about 20 minutes, but this recipe is a real keeper. I’m going to use this on sweet potato fries as well!

I love that this doesn’t contain added sugar. I definitely also appreciate the brown sugar take on roasted carrots, but I have a sweet tooth and try my best to save added sugar for less frequent intentional, indulgent desserts ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for posting this!

I made these carrots to go with a roast beef and mashed potatoesโ€” WOW!!! I have never had carrots as good as these!!
They will DEFINITELY be on my list to make again (and again, and again!). I told my husband I would be happy just to eat a meal of these Parmesan garlic carrots!
I will experiment with oven time (in place if air fryer) so that I can make a huge batch for our next family gathering! Thanks so much for this recipe! Itโ€™s my new favorite side dish!!!

I am trying to be dairy free so I made them without the Parmesan. Amazing. Canโ€™t stop eating them. And so easy! Thank you for this amazing recipe!!!
