Hey hey it’s Tiffany from Creme de la Crumb here to share one of my very favorite go-to weeknight dinner recipes with you. Grilled chicken is a staple in my house, all year round but especially in the Spring and Summer time, and now that the weather has been warming up, I’ve been using my grill several times a week in celebration.

Simple chili lime marinade in a glass.

This simple chili lime marinade can work its magic in as little as a half hour but if you think ahead, it’s 10 times better if you can let it hang out in the fridge for a few hours. Serve it up with a side salad or your favorite Spring veggies and kick off grilling season with this tasty chili lime grilled chicken!

    1. Hello Kat!
It is 1 tablespoon of oil. Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention. I will make sure to get that added. Thanks for following along with me!

  1. I love this marinade, but a little unsure of how much & what kind of oil to use. It’s not listed with the other ingredients, but in the directions it says to mix the oil & apple cider vinegar together. Please clarify. Thanks

    1. Hi Barbara!
I know you will love it! Some good side dishes for this would be asparagus, brussel sprouts, or just a good salad is always good. I hope you love it! Thanks so much for following along with me!!

  2. Great recipe, have used it many times but it seems the Oil type and amount are no longer listed. From memory its 4 Tbsp. EVOO I think.

It was good, but flavor was underwhelming. I probably will look for another marinade rather than doing this one again.

Best chicken I’ve ever tasted with a few changes to the recipe. Substitute Minced Garlic for Garlic Powder. Add dash of dried oregano. Triple the lime juice. Add 2 tablespoons Sriracha. Add 4 tablespoons honey. Use boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts for grilling.

I made chicken skewers with this recipe for a camping trip. did it all ahead of time, froze the chicken in the marinade and cooked over the fire once it thawed. AMAZING! looking forward to trying it again. thank you!

Tried this last night, but baked it in the oven instead and then broiled it to finish it off. It was fantastic! I only marinated it for 30 mins, and it was full of flavor! I will certainly be making this again!
