This marinade is delicious and a favorite. There was a grocery store in Arizona that sold chicken in a marinade that looked very similar so I had to try it. It is exactly as we remembered.
I added one tablespoon of olive oil and increased the lime juice by one tablespoon. Used chicken thighs with the skin (trimmed a lot off) and marinated for about 5 hours.
Served it with riced cauliflower seasoned with cilantro and lime.

    So good, thank you.

  2. I made this tonight, and it was soo flavorful. My husband is a very picky eater and he said it was delicious!! Thank you for this great recipe. I will definitely save this one for myself.

  3. I’m making the chilie lime chicken recipe w dark chicken cutlets. And the marinade seems too pasty. Am I missing an ingredient… olive oil?? Marinade should be more liquidity I think.

  4. I love this marinade, but a little unsure of how much & what kind of oil to use. It’s not listed with the other ingredients, but in the directions it says to mix the oil & apple cider vinegar together. Please clarify. Thanks

    1. Hi Barbara!
I know you will love it! Some good side dishes for this would be asparagus, brussel sprouts, or just a good salad is always good. I hope you love it! Thanks so much for following along with me!!

  5. Great recipe, have used it many times but it seems the Oil type and amount are no longer listed. From memory its 4 Tbsp. EVOO I think.

It was good, but flavor was underwhelming. I probably will look for another marinade rather than doing this one again.

Best chicken I’ve ever tasted with a few changes to the recipe. Substitute Minced Garlic for Garlic Powder. Add dash of dried oregano. Triple the lime juice. Add 2 tablespoons Sriracha. Add 4 tablespoons honey. Use boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts for grilling.

I made chicken skewers with this recipe for a camping trip. did it all ahead of time, froze the chicken in the marinade and cooked over the fire once it thawed. AMAZING! looking forward to trying it again. thank you!

Tried this last night, but baked it in the oven instead and then broiled it to finish it off. It was fantastic! I only marinated it for 30 mins, and it was full of flavor! I will certainly be making this again!

    1. That is SO good to hear! Thanks for sharing! I am so happy it turned out and you all loved it!
