  • No Store Run Needed: You probably already have all of the ingredients, just whisk them up, and you’re done. No mystery items, no extra errands.
  • Put It on Everything! From chicken tenders and sandwiches to roasted veggies and wraps, this dipping sauce makes everything taste better.
  • Picky Eater Approved! You might even get your picky eaters to try their veggies because this sauce is that good.

Ingredients Needed

  • Substitutions: Don’t have lemon juice? Try swapping it out for some vinegar instead. Apple cider or white vinegar will both work.
  • Turn up the heat: Want a little kick in your sauce? Then add a pinch of cayenne pepper.

How to Make Homemade Honey Mustard

I can’t wait for you to make this sauce. I used to eat chicken tenders at TGI Fridays just for the honey mustard. This homemade version? Just as addictive, and I can have it whenever I want!

  1. Combine: In a small bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and paprika.
  2. Whisk: Whiskย until smooth, and serve as desired!

Alyssa’s Pro Tip

Stir it up: If, after a day or two in the fridge, this honey mustard sauce has separated, give it a quick whisk to recombine, and it will be ready to go!

Made this to go with your air fryer chicken nugget recipe. The nuggets were great but this sauce was the 5 star of the show. My mom, who rarely uses condiments, thought it so good she refilled the dipping sauce on her plate three times and couldn’t stop commenting on how good it was. I forgot to add the lemon juice so I expect it will be 6 stars next time I make it!

I LOVE this recipe, seriously obsessed and so easy to make. Iโ€™ve tried both and actually prefer to use regular mustard instead of Dijon (less strong mustard flavor). I eat it often with the Tyson crispy chicken tenders and itโ€™s perfection.

I finally found it at the bottom after all the ways you can use it. I think it should have been at the top of the page.

Delicious! Better than other simple honey mustard recipes I have tried. The proportions are right, and the lemon makes a difference!

We LOVE honey mustard, I did not have any Dijon but yellow mustard works well, also did not have paprika, so without the paprika it was still good!! Thanx for the awesome recipe much โค๏ธ

  5. We love ‘Honey Mustard’ on many things around here, so I’m glad to be able to quickly whip up my own, whenever needed. SO easy, & I always have the ingredients on hand. Thank you.
