How Many Does It Feed?
This healthy meal plan is just what you need to get your week started. It provides five meals that will feed 4-6 (depending on if you are feeding adults or kids), AND it includes a shopping list! With fresh new ideas and easy-to-make recipes, having a weekly menu plan will be a lifesaver.
Why Should I Meal Plan?
If you havenโt tried planning your meals ahead of time, this is going to be a game-changer for you! Hereโs why I swear by meal planning:
- Time Saver: No more 4:00 PM panic about dinner. With a menu plan, you know exactly whatโs on the menu, what you need, and how long it takes to cook.
- Money Saver: Meal planning works wonders for your wallet. When you organize your shopping list for the week, then youโll easily spot opportunities to buy in bulk and creatively repurpose leftovers for future meals. Itโs a clever approach that keeps more money in your pocket.
- Bye-Bye Takeout: When your dinners are planned ahead of time and groceries are stocked, youโre less likely to hit the drive-thru. Because you are cooking at home, that means more savings and healthier eating. Win-win!

Storing Leftovers for Meal Planning
I only meal plan Monday-Friday because we sometimes have plans over the weekend or I have leftovers that we can have to finish off the week! If you do have leftovers, make sure to store them properly in an airtight container in your fridge.
Great menu ideas but most people donโt want chicken (or fish, ground beef, etc) two nights in a row – even if prepared differently. They like variety to make meal time interesting and switching menus around to skip a night and then repeat a protein is much better. This repetition is universal these days – sometimes chicken three nights in a row. This is a great dis-service to the novice (or uninterested) cook who has little inagination and will just do what is there.
Hi Patricia! You can make these meals in any order that works for you. I actually get a lot of requests to repeat the protein more than once in a meal plan. Doing this allows people to save money by buying more in bulk and being able to prepare it all in the same week! But I do have many other meal plans, feel free to use any of those or put some ones together on your own that fit your needs! Thanks so much for the comment!
