An easy delicious baked spaghetti with cream cheese baked inside! A meal that the entire family will love!

Baked cream cheese spaghetti casserole on a white plate.

We celebrated my son’s 7th birthday over the weekend in Disneyland. We had an absolute blast! I love spending time with my family and getting away from everyday life for a little bit. We sure do love our Luke but he is such a picky eater. I keep thinking that he will grow out of it, but as each year passes and as he gets older,  he still chooses not to eat a lot of the food I make. Dinner time can be a struggle at our house so you can imagine my excitement when he will eat something I make. Like this one. He loves it and it is a winner!

Baked spaghetti is amazing anyway. But when you add cream cheese to it, it takes it to a whole different level. I love cream cheese anyway but it gives a different delicious flavor to this wonderful casserole. We have been making this Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti for a while in our house now. It is in our regular dinner rotation because we all love it! How can you go wrong with a hearty meaty spaghetti cream cheese casserole? You just can’t! Give it a try and you will love it as much as we do!

  1. Are you using 1lb of meat, total?
Also…12oz spaghetti, is like an entire box? It seemed like so much in comparison to the meat & sauce mixture?

    1. I love this recipe but mine was a little dry. This was probably my fault because I could not find a 28oz jar of spaghetti sauce. I thought it was a mistake. Only 24 oz. So I guess I should have popped open a second jar???? I also had a problem stirring in the cream cheese. Did someone say they microwaved it a bit to soften?

  2. I can’t believe I never made baked spaghetti until tonight. And, boy was it a hit with the hubby!!
I used the above recipe with the following modifications:
Baked it in an 8X8 pan for 2 of us and we still had a lot left over.
I mixed a 1/2 lb of mild Italian Sausage with a 1/2 lb of ground beef.
I used 8 oz of Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese
Only used 1/2 a pound of spaghetti
Boiled the pasta for 10 minutes
    Absolutely delish!!!

  3. I didn’t let my husband or youngest son that this dish had cream cheese. They ” can always taste it and don’t like cream cheese”. Of course, I cook with it all the time, just hide it! It was a huge success. So easy and it was torn through like starving wild dogs got a hold of it!

  4. I made this last night with ground turkey and it was amazing. My husband declared that it needs to go on the menu every week. Thanks for sharing!!

  5. I have made this before and it was wonderful. I use my own homemade spaghetti sauce and warm it to melt the cream cheese. I layer the top with more sauce before baking. One addition we do for large parties is cut chicken breasts in portions so as you serve, it’s at the bottom and perfectly sized. I bake them with Italian seasonings then lay the spaghetti over the top. Adds a great flavor!

HERE IS MY QUESTION Have you tried to pre-make this and freeze it? I have three large pans to make and was hoping to have it done BUT I’m worried about the cottage cheese making it weird. Thank you!

  6. I wanted to make a spaghetti bake, but didn’t have enough of the normal ingredients, this recipe was perfect, I had everything… and I love cream cheese. It’s in the oven now and smells so DELISH! thanks 🙂

  7. I have made it this way before and it was good. But I found it a little difficult to stir in the cream cheese. So what I do is warm the cream cheese in the microwave first to soften it. Then I mix it into the plain spagetti. Then mix the meat and sauce with it all together. It becomes sooo creamy! I then spread it in a glass dish, sprinkle cheese on top then bake it. And boy or boy! The best thing ever!!

  8. Oh my G! I finally was able to make this for my son’s birthday. It was so delish! My brother & nephew who are to be really picky on food super loved it! I’m going to bake more of it! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

  9. I’m planning to bake this for my son’s birthday. However, I don’t know what an Italian seasoning is? Is there a kind or brand? Thanks.

      1. I was able to make one however, some spices are missing – sage & marjoram. Would that make a difference on the taste?
I’m also wondering why you didn’t saute the spaghetti sauce with garlic & onions?

  10. I needed to get dinner on the table fast! I knew I was going going
to make this recipe and had all the ingredients. While the pasta was
cook I added the other ingredients to the fully cooked meat and mixed
that creamy deliciousness to the cooked pasta. At each phase of the process
my son kept coming in the kitchen saying how wonderful it smelled. .
Soon half a pan was gone and hungry tummies were satisfied EXcept
for one thing, homemade garlic knots, a must have by my son who never
had them before but knew he’d love them and everyondeveryone did!
Thank you very much for these great recipes!

  11. Your recipes look delicious and I can’t wait to try some of them out! I have just spent an hour printing a whole bunch and I am going to start with this baked spaghetti! Love your boards on Pinterest too. 🙂

  12. Seriously? This was amazing. My husband is picky and he begs me to make this once a week…and actually eats the leftovers! Perfectly easy & delicious recipe. Thank you for sharing!

  13. I made this tonight and it is ABSOLUTELY amazing! My kids loved it. My eight year old-“I could die this is so good…I’m gonna have to get more!” So easy too! Saving this one! Thank you!

  14. Oh my goodness! My kids would be beggin’ for seconds. I’ve always wanted to be a spaghetti fan. Maybe this will do it for me.

    Looks incredible. Pinned.

Disneyland sounds like a blast. 🙂

    Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  15. This sounds wonderful. I have a spaghetti pie recipe with cottage cheese (and I’ve used ricotta cheese), but I’ve never used cream cheese. I bet it’s delicious.
