Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

This right here is my boy’s favorite weeknight meal. They beg me to make it every week. Since we have been so busy with Lacrosse, we have been having it every week. It requires minimal ingredients and little effort to make.

With minimal ingredients and big flavor, my kids devour it every time. The ground beef browns in minutes but still brings that classic Korean taste with brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. I always have these simple ingredients on hand, so all I need is a pound of ground beef to make it happen. Serve it over rice, toss in some veggies, and top with sesame seeds and green onions for a quick, delicious dinner you’ll make again and again. If you love these flavors, try my Slow Cooker Korean BBQ Chicken next!

  1. So delicious!! Doubled the sauce and added sriracha to it. Used riced cauliflower and sautéed onions, mushrooms, diced chilies, zucchini, broccoli, and asparagus. I cannot get enough!! Thank you for the recipe!

This is a quick, easy and delicious recipe. I double the sauce and add veggies. I’ve already made it twice in a few weeks. My teenage boys love it.

  3. Has anyone tried this recipe with regular soy sauce (instead of reduced sodium)? That’s all I have on hand and am wondering if it will still come out as good….

  4. Maybe I screwed up my measurements but was awfully sweet for me. Good recipe but I probably need to modify a little for my taste. Thank you

  5. This is so delicious and easy to make!!My family can’t get enough. I added cut up veggies as well. Thanks for the recipe

This is one of me & my roommate’s favorite recipes! We try to make it at least a couple times a month! The ingredients are pretty cheap and it’s so easy to make. I highly recommend this!!!! It’s not too spicy for someone like me and if you prefer more spice, double the red pepper flakes.

Just made this and YUM! Used Lakanto brown sugar substitute and served over cauliflower rice… I’ll definitely make this again! I’ll probably use less “sugar” next time as it was suuuper sweet for my own personal taste buds but even then it was yummy ?

My whole family loved this. I doubled the recipe, except I used coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. I was out of sesame oil. And I used beef bullion because it was too sweet for me. A little less red pepper flakes for my tender tongues. Lol My mom and I are watching our carbs, so we had riced cauliflower. It was so good!! Thanks for posting it!!

This was delicious! I doubled the meat and increased the sauce by 1-1/2. I will do this again next time! I made enough rice for 6 people instead of 4.

  10. The first time I made this it was good. Good enough to try it again. This time I doubled the sauce and added more garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes. Honest to goodness it was delicious!!!
