Can you tell that I am in love with my slow cooker? Especially in the summer when we are busy and I don’t want to use the oven! Then when we get home, we have a delicious meal. Like this one. And if you love chicken cordon bleu as much I do, you will love how easy this is to throw into the crockpot! And it is so delicious. The stuffing on top gives it such an amazing flavor and we all loved it!

Things that I changed:  You can either buy ham chunks and layer it over the chicken, or put ham slices. I decided to cut my chicken in half and stuff it with a slice of ham and cheese. Then I also layered the chicken with cheese.
Things that I will change next time:  Nothing
Will I make it again?  Yes!

Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients:

Instructions

  • Mix the soup with the milk.  Put about half of the soup on the bottom.
  • Place Chicken breasts on top.  Layer with the sliced ham and swiss cheese.  (This is where I sliced the chicken in half and put the ham and cheese inside and put swiss cheese on the top).
  •  Put the rest of the milk/soup mixture on the top of the swiss cheese.  Then lastly, put the stuffing mix on the very top and drizzle it with the 1/4 cup butter.  Cook on low for about 4-6 hours.

  1. Is there a way I could make this dish in the oven with frozen fully cooked chicken? I have a paranoia of raw chicken but really want to try this dish. Thanks!

  2. If you wanted to add some veggies, could you just add some baby carrots, cut up potatoes and maybe some broccoli on the bottom of the crockpot?

    1. I have cooked quite a bit with frozen chicken in the crockpot. Just make sure that it is cooked through and has reached an internal temp of 160. 🙂

  3. Hi!
Cooking this right now! Worried about the quantity of stuffing mix though. I had a 12oz. bag that I used and it seemed like a lot! What size do you use?

  4. Could you bake this? Would love to do it this weekend but we’ll be traveling so can’t use the crockpot until we get there, which will be at dinnertime. Need to cook this quickly!

    1. I am sure that you can bake it! Just layer it the same in a 9×13 pan and bake it at 350 for about 30- 40 minutes until the chicken is no longer pink. 🙂

      1. I have baked this in a 9×13 pan, layering the ingredients more. Turns out great! Cut up the chicken pieces.

    1. Sorry! I just switched to WordPress and all of my recipes that I post now have a print option. I have to go back to all old posts and add it. I haven’t gotten to this one.

  5. I forgot to also ask if you used the stuffing mix with the rice in it (stuff n’such) or the regular one (stove top). thanks 🙂

  6. This looks so delicious and so easy to make! I love my slow cooker, too! Thank you for sharing this. I am putting it on my menu for future recipes to make.
