  1. First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, add the butter to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Then, sautรฉ the shallots for 2-3 minutes before adding the broccoli. Finally, cook the mixture for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the ham to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes then remove from the heat.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  4. Add the broccoli and ham mixture to the prepared pie crust in a pie dish. Top with the cheddar cheese. Pour the egg mixture over the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top turns golden brown and the eggs set. Let the quiche cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Top 4 Tips For Perfect Quiche

If youโ€™re feeling unsure about making this ham and broccoli quiche, donโ€™t worryโ€”Iโ€™ve got you covered! Here are my top 4 tips to ensure your quiche turns out perfect every time. By following these guidelines, youโ€™ll be well on your way to creating a delicious and successful quiche.

  1. Bake it Slow: For a creamy custard texture, bake your quiche at a lower temperature for a longer time. By doing so, you prevent the eggs from scrambling, which, in turn, gives your quiche the smooth consistency itโ€™s known for.
  2. Precook Add-ins: Sautรฉ meats and vegetables before adding them to your quiche. This removes excess moisture, reducing the risk of a soggy crust.
  3. Blind Baking: I don’t blind bake my crust before making my quiche. If you wanted, you could blind bake your crust at 400ยฐF for 15 minutes using parchment paper and pie weights.
  4. Donโ€™t Overload: Avoid overloading your quiche with too many add-ins. Instead, keeping it light helps maintain the quicheโ€™s delicate, natural texture.

Storing and Pre-Making Ham and Broccoli Quiche

This recipe is perfect for meal prep. You can easily make a few batches and freeze them, allowing you to pull out a delicious, homemade quiche whenever you need a quick and convenient meal.

  • Fridge: Cover the quiche with plastic wrap or foil and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat individual slices in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, or reheat the entire quiche in a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.ย
  • Pre-Make and Freeze Before Baking: Quiche can be prepared and then frozen for up to 3 months. Bake it from frozen at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour and a half until fully warmed through the center.ย
