How to Make Creamy Chicken Noodle Casserole
What I love most about this recipe is everything is basically premade. You just have to mix everything together and throw it in a baking dish. Its really simple and is ready in 30 minutes.
- Prep: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Bring a pot of water to boil on the stove. Cook the egg noodles in the boiling water according to the package directions. About 2 minutes before draining the noodles, add the frozen peas and carrots to thaw in the water.
- Combine: Drain the noodles and vegetables. Add them back with the cooked chicken, corn, cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, onion flakes, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cheddar cheese.
- Stir: Mix all the ingredients together in the pot and then dump it into the prepared baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Topping: While the dish is baking, crush the Ritz crackers either in a food processor or in a ziplock bag. When they are crushed into crumbs, add the butter and parmesan cheese and mix to incorporate well.
- Serve: Remove the foil from the casserole, and top it with the cracker topping and bake for another 10 minutes. Remove the creamy chicken noodle casserole from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

- Serve with: This dish stands alone, but here are a few ideas of what you could serve with it. Tomato cucumber salad, Roasted Vegetables, Wedge salad, or Olive Garden breadsticks.
Make Ahead and Leftover Instructions
This is a great recipe for leftovers. My kids love coming home from school and getting themselves a big helping of casserole to reheat and enjoy. It’s also a good one to make ahead and freeze.
- Fridge: You can store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Freezer: You can freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months.ย
- Make Ahead: You can assemble this casserole without the crumb topping. Then store it in the freezer, and bake it off when youโre ready. Bake the frozen casserole at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, covered with foil, for 50-60 minutes. Util the center is hot.ย
