Hershey’s Cheesecake Brownies

It seems like it is a tradtion on Sunday’s to have brownies at my parents.   I’ve been wanting to try this new recipe that I found.  Why?  Well because it has cheesecake and a Hershey chocolate bar melted on top!  You can not go wrong EVER with that combo!  My family LOVED them and they turned out so yummy!

Rating:  4 stars  Difficulty of Recipe: 3 stars
Things that I did differently:  For some reason my cheesecake didn’t swirl as well as the original recipe.  Either way they were still AWESOME!
Things I would change:  Nothing… maybe try swirling a little more.  Haha
Will I make this again?  Yes
Recipe From: Doughmesstic

    • 10 Tablespoons butter
    • 3 ounces Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Chips
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 3/4 cup All Purpose Flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened Hershey’s Cocoa Powder
For the Cream Cheese Swirl
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Full Sized Hershey Bars, to top
  1. Preheat oven to 350. Prepare 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper long enough to hang over on two sides, making it easier to remove from pan once baked. Spray pan and paper.
  2. In small saucepot over medium heat, or in the microwave, melt chocolate and butter until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, vanilla with the sugar. Slowly add in chocolate mixture until well combined.
  4. In small bowl, sift together cocoa, salt and flour. Add mixture to rest of batter. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour batter into prepared baking pan.
  6. For the Cream Cheese Swirl
  7. Beat ingredients together until smooth. Pour over brownie batter. Use sharp knife to swirl together.
  8. Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes, or until just set and toothpick inserted comes out clean. Top with full sized hershey Bars and return to still warm (but off) oven until lightly melted. Allow to cool. Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired. Enjoy!

  4. They’re in my oven as we speak! They look delicious so far and I can’t wait to try them for myself! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  5. These are fantastic–I will never make brownies from a box again. I might try them in a mini muffin pan with a kiss on top instead of the candy bar.

  6. Have you ever doubled the recipe for a 9×13 pan. I need to serve more people than an 8×8 pan? These look divine for our party. Thanks.

  7. Please clarify the following:
“Beat ingredients together until smooth. Pour over brownie batter. Use sharp knife to swirl together”.
Do this mean swirl the cream cheese into the brownie batter using a sharp knife?
Also, any tips to make this recipe fail safe?
Look forward to hearing back. I would like to make it for a function tomorrow night.
    Thank you!

  8. Extra special with melted chocolate topping. Totally yummy without it. I put in a 9×9 and worked well. I was worried would be too thin. I was wrong..
