Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

This right here is my boy’s favorite weeknight meal. They beg me to make it every week. Since we have been so busy with Lacrosse, we have been having it every week. It requires minimal ingredients and little effort to make.

With minimal ingredients and big flavor, my kids devour it every time. The ground beef browns in minutes but still brings that classic Korean taste with brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. I always have these simple ingredients on hand, so all I need is a pound of ground beef to make it happen. Serve it over rice, toss in some veggies, and top with sesame seeds and green onions for a quick, delicious dinner you’ll make again and again. If you love these flavors, try my Slow Cooker Korean BBQ Chicken next!

Used a mix of ground beef+pork, definitely a keeper recipe! Served with rice and a side of chopped cucumber mixed with gochujang paste, sesame oil, green onion, and sesame seeds.

Wow, so easy to make, fast, and DELICIOUS! Everyone loved it. I followed the recipe to a “T” and I wouldn’t change a thing. I served it over jasmine rice. Perfection! This will be an addition to our dinner repertoire. Thank you!

  3. Rarley cook with hround beef BUT this recipe looked super good (and quick). Turned out great!!!

I added: broccoli, shredded carrots, dash of garlic sriracha seasoning, half a like wedge, and cilantro SOOO GOOD!!

Have crunchy noddles to go on top for the kids.

I also did jasmine rice AND rice noodles. Just because we had a small amount of the noddles left over from something else and wanted to gove the family “options”

    Definitley doing again! Thanks!

OMG this dish is the BEST! I mixed frozen mixed veggies to make it a one dish meal. Normally when I tell my husband that I’m trying a new recipe he rolls his eyes at me! Even HE loved it! This is a keeper! It’s yummy!

I have to say it’s so refreshing to try something that is quick and easy. Tried this for lunch today (minus the green onions) and it was a hit. Thank you!

I love this recipe. I used coconut rice (available in Florida) and this dish is not my go-to when I need something impressive. Perfect dish. I used ginger from the tube, as well, and Amino soy-replacement.

Didn’t have all the ingredients but even with my substitutions it was really tasty!! Thank you!! I really needed a new option for ground beef! ?
BTW, I used olive oil and saki instead of sesame oil, and added chopped white onions to meat instead of topping with green onion. Worked out!

  9. Yo this is pretty damn good! Modified slightly though.

Definitely need more than 2 cups of rice lol

Added a tablespoon of chili garlic sauce

Used regular soy because rice and beef both unseasoned (I do like my food on the saltier side though)

Added a splash of rice wine to brighten up those savory notes.

Will definitely be meal prepping the sh¡t out of this!

  10. This was soooooo yummy! So juicy and with lots of flavor! Plus super quick and easy to make. Goes well with rice!! Definitely going on my list of faves!

  11. I’m not any cook, but this sounds delicious….could I add frozen mixed veggies? Also wondering if you think I could use Chinese noodles instead of rice? Thanks!

Love this, the wife and I are retired, I double this recipe where we can have several meals out of it cause when we have this we usually go back for seconds. Our granddaughter is a very picky eater but loves this as well. Such a great taste.
