Such a simple meal with all the flavor! Try these different variations of Korean beef in these recipes: Korean Beef Noodles, Korean Ground Beef Stir Fry, or Slow Cooker Korean Beef.

Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls
This right here is my boy’s favorite weeknight meal. They beg me to make it every week. Since we have been so busy with Lacrosse, we have been having it every week. It requires minimal ingredients and little effort to make.
With minimal ingredients and big flavor, my kids devour it every time. The ground beef browns in minutes but still brings that classic Korean taste with brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. I always have these simple ingredients on hand, so all I need is a pound of ground beef to make it happen. Serve it over rice, toss in some veggies, and top with sesame seeds and green onions for a quick, delicious dinner you’ll make again and again. The interior of a raw hamburger usually does contain bacteria, and is safest if cooked well done. The USDA sets the minimum safe temperature for ground beef at 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

I made this for the first time tonight and it was very satisfying. I loved having all the ingredients for this already in the house. It was quick to prepare, and flavor filled, but I think I would add more red pepper flakes to bring it up a notch, the next time. we agreed that sauteed broccoli would be a nice addition, too.
The kids loved it, thank you!!!
My family all thought this was really tasty but I did make some additions. I added minced fresh ginger to the sauce, a little honey and a litte soy sauce. Before I sauteed the zucchini I added fresh garlic and ginger to the pan, then finished the zucchini with a splash of rice vinegar to deglaze pan. I also added garlic and ginger to the mushrooms. Lastly, I added chopped green onions as an extra topping, squeezed a lime wedge over my bowl and a drizzle of sweet chili sauce.
Very good! We loved this recipe!
Delicious. I’m gonna actually be trying this again with different meats. It reminded me of Mongolian beef so I wanna play around with it. A+++ recipe
I thought this was easy to make and very delicious. I will make this again and again!
Amazing. Super easy to make and delicious. I threw some Sriracha on my bowl and I am in love with this recipe.
Would chicken be good to use as well?
That is a great idea! Let me know how it turns out!
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe ? My family lived it! It’s so easy, affordable and quick to make. The only difference in my recipe is that I omitted the pepper and pepper flakes because we can’t handle spicy in our house ? and I added a bag shredded coleslaw mix to add some veggies.
Great recipe and really fast and easy. I added mushrooms to the meat while cooking. I serve over quinoa.
This is a recipe in rotation pretty often in our household! We absolutely love it! We like to sauté broccoli or green beans in sesame oil to serve with it as well as adding toasted sesame seeds to the top and a drizzle of spicy mayo! We’ve also tried it with some quick pickled cucumbers in rice wine vinegar! I have so many variations I want to add to this, but the base recipe for this meat always stays the same! Love it! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe!
Delicious! I added about 2 cups fresh green beans (precooked).
Great recipe. I tried it with slight modification in spices and it came out fabulous.
What a delicious classic recipe! I love love love this!
Alyssa, Love love love you for saving my family from a monotonous repeat of tacos or hamburgers! I’m thinking we need some pickled something to go with it besides kimchi – any suggestions? Happy New Year!
