Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

This right here is my boy’s favorite weeknight meal. They beg me to make it every week. Since we have been so busy with Lacrosse, we have been having it every week. It requires minimal ingredients and little effort to make.

With minimal ingredients and big flavor, my kids devour it every time. The ground beef browns in minutes but still brings that classic Korean taste with brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. I always have these simple ingredients on hand, so all I need is a pound of ground beef to make it happen. Serve it over rice, toss in some veggies, and top with sesame seeds and green onions for a quick, delicious dinner you’ll make again and again. If you love these flavors, try my Slow Cooker Korean BBQ Chicken next!

I made this for the first time tonight. This was such a quick and easy meal! It was AMAZING! My husband and I loved it. I have no choice but to add this to our weekly meal rotation! 😀

Absolutely one of our favorites! I double the recipe but cut back the brown sugar as we prefer ours not so sweet. I usually add with broccoli or asparagus to get some veggies in. Wonderful recipe!

Wow! Absolutely amazing. I added 2 extra cloves of garlic and instead of green onion, added a little onion, and wow, its amazing. I would just add a little bit more red pepper flakes next time, but this is great

I have never commented on a recipe. I have never had anything like this. I was starving and didn’t feel like having a burger or spending much time cooking. I made this and my life is changed. I may have to make this once a week to make rice bowls for lunch. It was so easy and so good. Like, so effin good. If you are on the fence because it sounds weird, I get it but just make it.

This is so great. I am not the best cook, but really enjoy trying and when I tried your recipe it turned out great. Thank you so much for sharing. I passed your link on to my sisters:)

My husband and I love this! We like to mix the cooked beef and cooked rice together and put a scoop in a romaine lettuce leaf for a little crunch. Some shredded carrot and chopped water chestnut is a really good addition too ?

This is an outstanding recipe! I added thin sliced fresh carrots and green & red peppers to the meat and garlic and drained off the fat, so colorful! I always have cooked brown rice in my freezer and everything was pulled together and ready-to-eat in 35 minutes! Thank you so much!

I agree with most of the other reviews- this is great but make some changes based on your taste. Don’t add salt, make more sauce then in the recipe (I doubled it). Add some veggies – I like carrot sticks and is great with lettuce cups.

I turned mine into a bibimbap with some frozen mixed vegetables and a scrambled egg, and topped it with some crunchy chow mein noodles – so good -I kept the green onions and the sesame seeds too- I will be making this again- so easy!

It’s pretty darn good. We turn to it often! Thank you so much I’m gonna add cubes of zucchini with it and brown rice tonight. I’m honestly kind of excited.
