Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls
This right here is my boy’s favorite weeknight meal. They beg me to make it every week. Since we have been so busy with Lacrosse, we have been having it every week. It requires minimal ingredients and little effort to make.
With minimal ingredients and big flavor, my kids devour it every time. The ground beef browns in minutes but still brings that classic Korean taste with brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. I always have these simple ingredients on hand, so all I need is a pound of ground beef to make it happen. Serve it over rice, toss in some veggies, and top with sesame seeds and green onions for a quick, delicious dinner you’ll make again and again. Very delicious and easy to make. I ran out of rice so I used quinoa instead.
I make this recipe every week and it’s amazing with ground turkey! I add a tiny bit of minced garlic into the sauce mix too. Best recipe I’ve found in a while, thank you!

WOW girl!!! Unbelievably simple, and delicious. Thx for sharing.
Amazing flavor quick & simple ! I’m making it again tonight & gona attempt to use it as a marinade for my skirt steak !
Made this tonight and it was so good. I’ll probably end up doubling it next time just because we prefer it to be more saucy. I didn’t have the garnishes but I Added some fire roasted veggies from Costco into the beef mixture and it was heaven! My boyfriend raves about it. Thank you!
So good! So easy! Will use again for sure!
Simple, quick, and really good !
loved this recipe! I doubled the sauce mixture and added some cornstarch to have some over rice. delicious!!!! My daughter loved it too.
Our family loves it too!
Great flavors. I try to do keto for lunches, so I omitted the brown sugar, used 80/20 beef, and ate with cauliflower rice. I also used 2 TBSP of coconut aminos instead of soy sauce, and used 2 TBSP toasted sesame oil. I added a splash of rice vinegar and fish sauce, and some fresh chopped ginger in addition to the ground ginger. For all my tweaking of the recipe it still turned out really flavorful. I bet it’s amazing as is if you don’t have limitations like I do. Thanks for a great base recipe that I was able to easily alter. The best thing is how easy and QUICK this was to make.
Great ideas!!!
Man that’s literally just a diff recipe
Love, love this!! Did I mention I ❤️ ❤️❤️ This! I do prep for all week for my son’s lunch, what’s for dinner goes for lunch and this is a lunch once a week for him! Amongst your other recipes.
