Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches

There is just something that I love about french dip sandwiches.  Dipping it into the warm dip and taking a bite of the tender juicy meat is just so delicious.  I love this recipe because it is EASY!  It is almost too easy.  This recipe only has 3 ingredients and I was able to throw it in in 5 minutes and have it ready by 5!  This is also a good recipe to feed a group because it made a lot!  It was so yummy!

Things that I changed:  I did throw a sliced onion in and a onion soup mix for extra flavor.

Recipe From:  Six Sisters

Ingredients:
2-3 pounds Roast Beef or pork
2 cans beef consomme (14 1/2 ounces each) 
6-8 Hoagie Buns

Place roast in greased slow cooker.  Pour Beef Consomme over the top.  Cook in slow cooker on low 8-11 hours and high 5-7 hours.  Remove roast from slow cooker and shred with two forks.  Reserve juices in crockpot to dip the sandwiches.  Serve meat on buns.

  2. I make this as well. Will try it with consomme next time. Here is my slow cooker recipe for French dip…for a bit of extra flavor! I find that high sometimes dries it out, and I really do prefer 10 hours MINIMUM for low. 🙂
